About the Company
  • Legal Club of America is a nationwide discount legal referral service. We provide our members access to the largest proprietary attorney network, who contract with us to provide our members with free and discounted legal care.

Not Insurance
  • Legal Club is not an insurance program, there are:
  •   No limitations or exclusions
  •   No waiting periods
  •   No claim forms
  •   No pre-existing condition exclusions
  •   No fee increases for usage
  •   No licensing


  • Legal Club is the only program that is available in all 50 states.
  • Our rates and benefits do not change from state to state. Members of multi-state companies all pay one rate.

Free & Discounted Legal Care* (1)
  • Nine Free Services
  • Initial phone consultations for each new legal matter (no time limit)
  • Initial face-to-face consultation for each new legal matter (no time limit)
  • Review of independent legal documents (6 pages max per document, no limit to the number of new independent documents.)
  • Plan attorneys will prepare a free Simple Will for the member and the members spouse, as well as update the Will annually for free.
  • A state specific, web based, free Living Will from is available to members. This form can be taken to a plan attorney and completed by the attorney for free.
  • Plan attorneys will help members represent themselves in small claims court.
  • Assistance in solving problems with government programs, such as INS and Welfare.
  • When deemed appropriate by the plan attorney, he or she will make phone calls on member’s behalf (one phone call per legal matter, with no limit on the number of new legal matters).

"Low Hourly Rate"
  • Low Hourly Rate
  • Network attorneys cap their hourly rates at $75.00 per hour for extended legal care (includes either in-court or out-of-court representation).
  • Attorneys usually estimate the number of hours a case might consume prior to beginning work on the case.
  • Our plan represents tremendous savings from our competitor’s insurance plans, who usually offer only a 25% discount off of the attorney’s customary hourly rate.

"Contingency Fee Discount"

  • Attorneys often work on a contingency fee basis on cases such as personal injury and collections.
  • Members are entitled to a fee reduction of 10% of the attorney’s usual rate or the state maximum rate, whichever is lower.

Identity Theft Solutions
  • Members have toll-free access to paralegals who will assist them with the process of preventing ID theft and/or restoring it to its pre-theft state.


  • Identity Monitoring
  • IDAlert™ monitors the activity associated with an identity across multiple data sources to detect the type of fraudulent activity that takes place prior to the theft of an individual’s identity. Sources include:
  •   Credit Bureau Data
  •   DMVs
  •   Bankruptcy Lien and Judgment Filings
  •   Utilities
  •   Public Records
  •   Private Contributory Databases

  • Restoration
  • A Recovery Team of fraud investigators, legal counsel, paralegals and other ID theft experts will:
    • Notify the three major credit bureaus of the event
    • Pull and analyze credit reports
    • Place fraud alerts with all appropriate agencies
    • Create a customized recovery plan
    • Provide member with a recovery kit customized with pre-completed, state specific forms

  • Identity Theft Insurance*
  • Each member will  receive up to $25,000 worth of identity theft insurance to cover costs to restore identity ($0 deductible). Covers:
    • Lost wages, filing fees, civil defense litigation
    • Other fees, such as postage, application fees, and travel

  • Lost/Stolen Credit Card Assistance
  • If member’s credit card is stolen or lost, specialists will:
    • Contact each credit card company while member is on the phone
    • Cancel affected credit cards and request  replacement cards
    • Place fraud alerts with all three major credit bureaus
    • Assist member in interpreting their credit report
    • Provide daily credit monitoring from all three bureaus for six months.

LifeEvents™ Counseling
  • Members have access to free, unlimited 24/7 telephonic counseling services provided by licensed, degreed counselors.


  • Counseling is provided for problems related to marital, parent-child, alcohol, drug abuse, emotional, legal/financial, childcare, eldercare, etc. issues.


    • Counselor conducts initial assessment to determine member’s needs.


    • If required, counselor schedules appointment for in-person assessment with local provider (community agencies, local hospital, etc.). Counselor coordinates with member’s benefit plan to ensure comprehensive service.


    • Counselor follows up with member and local provider every step of the way to ensure successful treatment and member satisfaction.

Fulfillment
  • Welcome package sent to new member within 7-10 business days.  Package includes a membership card, plan member guidebook, a Last Will & Testament questionnaire, and contact information for their Legal Club plan attorney.

  • 6-Year Paid-Up Premium Provision
    • Free membership into the Family Legal Plan after 6 consecutive years of membership.

    • Free membership into the Family Legal Plan after 3 consecutive years of membership for members that retire.

  • Once the member is enrolled, member has immediate access to plan benefits and attorneys.
  • Member contacts attorney directly to arrange for consultation.
  • Attorney concerns can be addressed easily by contacting the Legal Club.

EXCLUSIONS
  • Legal matters against the plan sponsor, employer, directors, officers, agents or employees, where Legal Club membership was gained through the sponsor or employer’s efforts.


  • In matters where the plan member and eligible family member have adverse interests, only the original plan member is eligible for plan discounts and not the family member unless both parties provide written authorization and consent otherwise.

Attorney Selection Process
  • Members are assigned an attorney based on 3 criteria: Location, Area of Law, Language spoken.


  • Members can call from anywhere in the country and request an attorney to help solve any legal situation.


  • Members may have attorneys in multiple states covering a variety of situations at the same time.

Attorney Criteria
  • Legal Club’s plan attorneys average 19.6 years of experience.
  • Attorneys must maintain good standing in their respective bar associations.
  • Attorneys must maintain professional liability insurance.
  • We us the Martindale Hubbel guide to rate attorneys. Attorneys must have an “AV” or  “BV” rating.
  • Attorneys must maintain a good courtesy rating assigned by the Legal Club.

Attorney Ratings - Internal
  • Legal Club conducts quarterly surveys.  We update attorneys with all information make sure they are familiar with plan features and pricing, how calls are answered after-hours, etc.
  • Legal Club assigns ratings of A, B, C & F.
  • Only “A” and “B” rated attorneys are referred to members.
